RedBull Romaniacs : Wade Young and Mario Roman both on the final podium.

The RedBull Romaniacs is arguably one of the most eagerly anticipated races in the FIM Hard Enduro Championship calendar by both the riders and the fans. This #VerticalMadnessReloaded edition promised an even crazier vertical climb and descent, with some special features to spice up the 4 days of racing.

Wade Young started brilliantly and won the prologue (Time Trial Qualification), from day one giving him a good idea of his form and ambition. He finished 3rd in the first Off-Road day, he played the card of consistency and safety in the marathon race and finished 4th on the 2nd day. He then ramps it up, he won the 3rd day which was enough to allow him to ascend to the 2nd step of the overall podium at the end of the 4th day! Well done, Wade.

Mario Roman also had an excellent performance. He started off at a slower pace on the prologue and on the first day of the race, he gradually regained his best form and finished in 2nd place on the second day of the race. He was consistent and incisive by the end of the race, he fought hard until the last minute to keep his podium position and give Sherco a nice double with a 2nd and 3rd place overall finish.

It was the first RedBull Romaniacs for our FactoryONE Sherco USA rider Cody Webb. He came to Europe for the specific purpose of racing alongside the best riders on the planet. Cody discovered Romania and its endless slopes. He finished 15th in the prologue, he had some bad luck on the first day of the race which was very crazy for him. He finished 8th on the 2nd day, he continued to fight hard and finished in a very good 12th place overall. For the first time, it’s a success! See you next year, Cody.
