Lorenzo SANTOLINO – back in the Top 5!

It was a very fast stage today where navigation was extremely important. Lorenzo Santolino is back in the top 5, he did not give up and significantly reduced the gap between him and the leader.
 

It was a perfect day for Lorenzo Santolino! He was 5th for the day and he scored big points overall, coming back to 5th but above all he is just 6 minutes from the leader. Still fresh after a stage of 700 km including 402 km of special, riding the 450 SEF Rally which works wonderfully well on the tracks and in the Saudi sand, he is now one of the top favorites in this 44th Dakar.

Rui Goncalves continues his high level training. He is confident and is progressing in his navigation skills. He continues his long climb up. He finished 16th today, and is now 30th overall.

Harith Noah had one of his best days in this 2022 Dakar. He rode a flawless race today and finished 23rd. He is now 27th overall, he will continue to apply himself and play the regularity card and try to get a top 20 by the time he reaches Jeddah.
 

These are the days that we would like to live every day. A particularly fast special with sand on the menu, some single track with a few dunes at the end. It was a long and grueling special, but the work carried out by both the riders and the mechanics during the rest day is bearing fruit: The men and the machines are at the bivouac this evening, still as sharp as the day before the start in Jeddah. Let’s continue on this great momentum!
