Wade Young wins the Hero Challenge, the 6th stage of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship

Welcome in Poland for the 6th round of the Hard Enduro World Championship..

The Hero Challenge extended a hearty welcome to the Hard Enduro World Championship riders. Wade Young and Mario Roman were keen to shine after their great performance at the American TKO.

Following a prologue on Saturday to determine the starting grid for Sunday, it was time for a “Cross Country” type race on Sunday. The terrain alternated between sand, underbrush, and technical sections.

Wade got off to a good start and found himself in fourth position quite quickly. He decided to do one more lap before refueling. After the refueling stop he took the lead and never looked back. He crossed the finish line more than three minutes ahead of his closest competitor!

Mario had a bad start and was out of the top 40. He managed to complete the first lap in 15th position. His good pace allowed him to continue to pick up places, and he managed to finish in 5th place!

Results:

Wade Young P1
Mario Roman P5

In the overall Championship rankings, Wade is 3rd and closed the gap. Mario is right behind him in fourth place.

The next round will be on October 01, 2021, it will be the Hixpania Hard Enduro in Aguilar de Campoo, Spain.
