2022 DAKAR | STAGE 10

Stage ten was for tenacity. Lorenzo Santolino finished in 4th place and Rui finished in the Top 10!

Back to the forefront for our riders! They were on the attack today and put the knife between their teeth on a 375 km special between Wadi Ad Dawasir and Bisha which was 66% sand. Lorenzo Santolino and Rui Goncalves both put in an excellent performance, and they both gained a few places in the overall standings.

Lorenzo Santolino finished 4th for the stage, he arrived happy at the bivouac this evening. A few modifications were made to his 450 SEF Rally which enabled him to return to his best performance level today. He was the author of some excellent race management during the entire race. He was able to make up some of the time he lost in recent days and returned to 11th place overall.

Rui Goncalves also had a solid day. He grabbed a top 10 spot with a nice 8th place finish. It was a particularly satisfactory result when we know that the leading car has now embarked on the final sprint. Rui was especially at ease in the technical portions, he made the most of his new machine, which is more maneuverable and responsive in this type of terrain. He is now in 24th place in the general classification.

Harith Noah was forced to retire today due to a technical problem. It was a disappointment for him as he was knocking on the door of the top 20. Despite everything, he will set off again tomorrow to continue to garner kilometers and experience at the controls of his 450 SEF Rally on the last 2 stages of this 2022 Dakar.

The heat has returned, but the team achieved some great results today. It was another long and demanding stage, one in which our riders have given their all. The finish is now in sight, but the organizers announced that the special tomorrow is a very big one where anything can happen.
