Sherco Returns to Glory in the BEC: Antoine Magain Secures Back-to-Back Wins at British Enduro Championship Rounds 5 & 6
After a four-year drought, Sherco is back on the top step of the British Enduro Championship. Belgian Sherco Factory rider Antoine Magain delivered a dominant performance over the weekend onboard his 300SE 2T, claiming back-to-back victories at Rounds 5 and 6 of the 2025 British Enduro Championship—Sherco’s first British Enduro round wins since 2021.
Racing under scorching hot conditions, Magain’s performance was a masterclass in consistency and control, navigating technical terrain and the rough woodland sections with trademark precision.
On Saturday (Round 5), he led the field from start to finish, maintaining control throughout the day and clinching the win with a margin of 25.88 seconds to Mikael Persson and a further 46.12seconds to Jamie McCanney.
On Sunday (Round 6), he repeated his performance with equal determination, extending his dominance to win by 28.6 seconds, sealing a perfect weekend in his debut BEC .
“It feels incredible to bring Sherco back to the top step of the podium in the UK,” said Antoine Magain. “The team has worked so hard, and to deliver this result is an amazing feeling to give Sherco this win after so many years and my first BEC race.”
The celebration didn’t stop there. Nieve Holmes, riding the 250SEF 4T Sherco, claimed a convincing victory in the Women’s class on Sunday, completing a Sherco sweep of both premier categories and underscoring the brand’s strength across the field.
“Today I upped my level feeling better in the technical sections of the tests. It’s great to get another win in the championship, ” said Holmes. “It’s a proud moment to stand on the top step for Sherco alongside Antoine.”
This double win is a major statement for Sherco, reasserting the French manufacturer’s presence and competitiveness, making this weekend’s triumph not only a personal win for Magain and Holmes but a symbolic moment for the French manufacturer’s return to prominence on UK soil.
The 2026 Sherco models are now available via the Sherco UK dealer network.
