Progress continues in both 2 and 4 stroke models. the new line includes numerous improvements, including a new design The new 2009 Sherco trials models continue to make progress in the trials world, maintaining the commitment to continue the
evolutionary process in order to provide our customers with a product that offers them a superior motorcycle. Constant improvements
in the areas of rideability, competitiveness, reliability and quality are features that define all of the Sherco trials models.
These improvements are the result of our constant testing and development in the field and in the lab, which makes us a reference
point in the off road motorcycle world.
All of the new 2009 trials models have received significant improvements and design changes that are the result of our ongoing
testing and development programs. The result of these changes is a motorcycle that is very balanced and easy to ride, which
generates great confidence in the rider, no matter what type of obstacle they are confronted with.
One of the most significant items
that has been changed is the frame. The geometry has been modified in order to increase the overall balance of the motorcycle.
Small changes have been made to the very core of the frame to provide these improvements; an example is the repositioning of
the footpegs. These changes when combined together have resulted in a considerable improvement in the neutrality of the frame.
These changes have been made to all of the models, both 2T and 4T as they share the same frame. In addition to these changes
the suspension system has been reviewed and modified to work in concert with the frame changes. The 2009 models have also
received new brake discs that are more precise and effective.
The motor has also received important improvements; the 2.9 2T model incorporates a new cylinder head, a new cylinder, a new
piston as well as a new air box. The 3.2 4T engine has an additional crankshaft bearing; it also has a new more powerful radiator
fan. It is equipped with the same carburetor that was released on the 10th anniversary special edition models, the SPS (Sherco
Prompt System) which provides immediate engine response in any situation, avoiding the common 4T sputter. The graphics are
completely new, the motor is black and the body work on the 2T is blue while the body work on the 4T is red.
The 2T and 4T motors have been totally designed and developed by Sherco and incorporate the latest advance in materials and
electronic engine management controls. Thanks to the ongoing technical development they have become the most competitive
motors in the trials sector. They are also environmentally friendly having obtained the current CO2 emissions certificate for their
category. The Sherco motors also comply with the Euro 3 emission regulation for motor vehicles.
