The spectacular end of the 2006 season for Albert Cabestany carried over into the battle for the Spanish Indoor Championship, which saw him emerge as the overall champion, however his good fortune did not continue as he started the 2007 campaign. An unfortunate failure of a titanium suspension bolt caused him to DNF the first race of the indoor season, which was held in Granada. This failure along with the bad finish he obtained in Barcelona made it look like the possibility of winning or even placing high in the overall standings was going to be very hard. In spite of these unfortunate incidents, Albert has managed to recover most of the ground lost with his consistent finishes and especially his first place in the recent Trial which was held in Milan. He now is in a position to mount a challenge for the lead, although Toni Bou has a lead that will be very hard to overcome; Albert does however have the distinct possibility of being able to at least finish second in the overall standings with two rounds left in the championship.
Cabestany dedicated his triumph in Milan to its daughter, who was born recently. This victory confirms once again that he is one of the best riders in the World Trials competition. And marks him as one of the main contenders for the outdoor championship which starts in March in Cordoba.

El espectacular fin de temporada 2006 que realizó Albert Cabestany, el cual le llevó a la conquista del título de campeón de España indoor, no ha tenido continuidad en este inicio de la campaña 2007. La desafortunada rotura de un tornillo de titanio en la prueba inaugural del mundial en pista cubierta disputada en Granada, unida al discreto resultado en Barcelona, le han restado posibilidades de cara a la lucha por el título. A pesar de ello Cabestany ha recuperado de nuevo su mejor pilotaje y se impuso en el pasado Trial Indoor de Milán, resultado con el cual se coloca en disposición de luchar por el subcampeonato, ya que el líder del certamen, Toni Bou se encuentra destacado al frente de la tabla y cuando tan solo quedan 2 pruebas por disputar, la diferencia existente es prácticamente irrecuperable. Cabestany dedicó su triunfo en Milán a su hija, nacida recientemente, y vuelve a colocarse en el primer plano del trial mundial tanto en pista cubierta, así como uno de los principales protagonistas de la temporada outdoor que empieza a principios de marzo en Córdoba.

Dani Oliveras premieres the 2007 season with a podium in his official début with the Sherco 2.9 at the International Trial of Pau (France).  The young rider from Gerona was penalized more points than he really wanted in the first lap. All of the riders were allowed to compete in the final; Dani demonstrated a great amount of skill and finished in third place, one point behind the British rider Doug Lampkin. This result confirms that Oliveras is one of the premier riders on the circuit and will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. We are very optimistic about how well he will do competing on his Sherco in the outdoor competition which will start in Cordoba on the 4th of March.

In the same competition, Christhope Brouand, rode the new Sherco 3.2 4T to fifth place in the final classification.

Dani Oliveras ha estrenado la temporada 2007 con un podio en su debut oficial con la Sherco 2.9 en el marco del cuatro Trial Internacional de Pau (Francia). El joven piloto gerundense fue a más a medida que avanzaba la prueba y después de sumar más puntos de los deseados en la primera vuelta, en la manga final, en la que también compitieron todos los pilotos, logró remontar posiciones con una gran demostración de pilotaje, que le llevó a la tercera plaza final a tan solo un punto del británico Doug Lampkin. Con este resultado Oliveras se confirma como uno de los pilotos con mejor proyección y su progresión a los mandos de la Sherco le hace sentir realmente optimista de cara la temporada oficial outdoor que empezará en Córdoba el próximo 4 de marzo. “Estoy muy contento del equipo y a gusto con mi nueva moto. Realmente estoy muy motivado de cara la nueva temporada y espero estar en los puestos de cabeza en mi primera temporada completa en la categoría máxima”. En la misma competición Christhope Brouand, a los mandos de la nueva Sherco 3.2 4T se clasificó en la quinta plaza final.

The French city of Lyon hosted the Indoor Enduro, this was the first race of this type that has been held in France, this same type of Indoor Enduro has been held in Barcelona, Genoa and Las Vegas. In this inaugural race the current best Enduro riders were invited to participate, among them was the young Sherco factory rider Jeremy Joly who raced his factory prepared Sherco 2.5i. The course was extremely difficult and technical, consisting of a variety of rock steps, water crossings, sand, and many other obstacles. In this extreme test, Joly finished fifth in the elite classification heat. In the feature race, competing against the elite riders in the discipline, such as Despres and Guillaume, Joly finished in ninth place, a very good finish considering that this is the first time he has participated in this kind of race.

La ciudad francesa de Lyon acogió la primera edición del Enduro Indoor, primera prueba de estas características que se disputa en Francia y que se une a las que se disputan en Barcelona, Génova y Las Vegas. En la prueba gala, participaron los mejores pilotos de enduro del momento, entre los cuales el joven piloto de Sherco Jérémy Joly a los mandos de la Sherco 2.5i. En un recorrido realmente exigente, con variedad de dificultades como pasos por piedras, agua, arena, saltos, ángulos cerrados y muchos más elementos, configuraron una auténtica prueba extrema en la que Joly  logró la quinta plaza en su manga de clasificación de la clase élite. En la gran final, con hombres de la talla de Despres, Guillaume, Joly logró la novena plaza, posición muy meritoria teniendo en cuenta que era su primera participación en una prueba de este tipo.

The young French rider Loris Gubian, made his official debut in the Indoor Trials Championship of the world in the trial that was held in the city of Marseilles. Loris is one of the few riders who have been invited to compete in the Championship series with the seven best trials riders in the world. The level of difficulty and the skill level of the championship riders proved to be too much for the young rider to make the final, he however was very happy to have been invited to ride with these extremely accomplished riders. In this same race, the Sherco team leader, Albert Cabestany finished second.

El joven piloto francés, Loris Gubian, hizo su debut oficial en el Campeonato del Mundo de Trial Indoor esta temporada 2007 en el marco de la prueba disputada en la ciudad de Marsella. De esta forma Gubian se convierte en uno de los pocos pilotos invitados en este certamen en el que compiten tan solo los siete mejores pilotos del mundo. El nivel de dificultad y de especialización de los pilotos en este campeonato en pista cubierta se dejó notar en el joven Gubian, el cual ya no tuvo opciones de clasificarse para la final. En esta misma prueba, el piloto líder de Sherco, Albert Cabestany consiguió la segunda plaza.

Sherco Motorcycles and Minerva Oil have reached an agreement in which, the French lubricant manufacturer will become one of the main sponsors for Sherco in their manufacturing and racing programs. Minerva Oil was founded in 1934 and has been characterized by their high quality products, they have applied for and obtained ISO 9001 certification for their lubricant manufacturing processes. Currently the central headquarters for Minerva is located in France, in their factory they develop and manufacturer high-quality lubricants for automobiles, the transportation industry, agriculture, gardening, maritime and motorcycles. Thanks to the agreement with Sherco, they will supply all of the lubricants for all of the production motorcycles and will develop high performance products for the competition motorcycles.

Sherco Moto y Minerva Oil han llegado a un acuerdo por el cual, la empresa fabricante de lubricantes francesa se convierte en una de las principales colaboradoras de Sherco tanto en el apartado de industria, así como colaboradora en los programas deportivos. Minerva Oil fué fundada en 1934 y desde entonces se ha caracterizado por la eficacia de sus productos que le ha llevado a obtener la certificación ISO 9001 en el proceso de fabricación de lubricantes. Actualmente la sede central de Minerva se encuentra en Francia y en su factoría se elaboran lubricantes de alta calidad para los sectores de la automoción, transporte, agricultura, jardinería, marítima y motocicllismo. Gracias a la colaboración con Sherco, Minerva suministrará todos los lubricantes para todos los modelos de motocicletas actuales, y además facilitará productos de alto rendimiento para las motos de competición.

The city of Totana in Murcia was the location of the first Sherco Off Road Show of 2007.  This program which is promoted by Sherco was held in Murcia in conjunction with the area Sherco distributor Metalco Motors. The day included test rides by potential clients of the Murcia dealership; they were able to ride various Enduro, Trials and Supermotard models. The distributor provided his truck which included several Sherco models as well as technicians from the factory. The participants were able to ride the various motorcycles in a relaxed environment where they were able to get a good impression of the various machines and receive advice from the factory technicians. This first Sherco Off Road Show was so successful that there will be more of these Shows scheduled in the future.

La ciudad de Totana en Murcia acogió el primer Off Road Sherco Show de este año 2007. Esta iniciativa, promovida por Sherco, contó en la localidad murciana con la colaboración del distribuidor de Sherco de la zona Metalco Motor. La jornada contó con participación de numerosos clientes y simpatizantes de esta popular tienda murciana, los cuales disfrutaron en un día de pruebas de los modelos de enduro de Sherco. Por este motivo, se desplazó hasta Totana el camión de asistencia de la marca y varias unidades de los modelos de enduro y también de los modelos de supermotard y trial en exposición. Los presentes pudieron probar y cambiar impresiones de sus sensaciones sobre las motos, en un entorno distendido ante el asesoramiento de los técnicos de la marca. El éxito de este primer Off Road Sherco Show tendrá nuevos escenarios en el futuro ante la buena acogida que tuvo esta presentación en Totana (Murcia).

The Sherco 4.5i received very high marks in a recent Master Enduro racing test conducted by Spanish Motorcycling magazine. The test included all of the various models in this category. The Sherco received very high marks because of its electronic fuel injection, handling and price. The final test conclusions emphasized that the Sherco’s engine power was very smooth and linear as compared to the rest of the test machines which were carbureted. They further emphasized that the compact construction of the Sherco translated into a motorcycle with exceptional handling. The Sherco 5.1i was also included in this test and they also made note of its exceptional smoothness of operation, thanks to the electronic fuel injection.

La Sherco 4.5i ha obtenido una nota alta en el reciente Master Enduro, prueba racing entre todos los modelos de su misma categoría realizada por la revista española Motociclismo. La Sherco ha sido muy bien valorada por su inyección electrónica, posición de conducción y precio. Después de la prueba las conclusiones finales destacan de la Sherco su entrega de potencia suave y mucho más lineal que los modelos convencionales con admisión por carburador. Destaca también como un conjunto compacto lo cual se traduce en un comportamiento noble muy bien valorado. En esta comparativa entre todas las motos de enduro del mercado, también ha participado la nueva Sherco 5.1i, la cual también ha destacado por su suavidad de funcionamiento gracias a la inyección electrónica.

The 2007 50cc Enduro and Supermotard models have been upgraded to adopt the same image as that of the larger displacement models in the product line. The new 50’s will maintain the same basic chassis and dependable Minarelli engine and high quality components as before. The new graphics with a black background, silver combined with gray, also red with yellow along with anodized rims and red number plates will combine for a very aggressive harmonious appearance. The new Sherco 50’s will be available from the dealers in March.

La renovación de la gama 2007 de enduro y supermotard de Sherco se completa con las nuevas 50 que adoptan la misma imagen que sus hermanas mayores de enduro. Las nuevas 50 mantienen la misma base que sus predecesoras, basada en un robusto motor Minarelli y componentes de primera calidad. La nueva decoración sobre un fondo negro, combina los colores gris plata, con el amarillo y rojo, lo cual unido a las llantas anodizadas y placas en color rojo, le confieren un carácter marcadamente agresivo en completa armonía entre todas sus partes. Las nuevas Sherco 50 estarán disponibles desde principios de marzo.
