TRIAL
Gubian, is leading the junior world championship
and Grattarola is a strong contender

The young Sherco rider from France, Loris Gubian is currently leading the field in the Junior World Championship. Loris finished in seventh place last season despite missing several rounds because of an injury. At the young age of 19 he is a strong contender for the overall championship. Gubian has placed first in five of the nine rounds, with only three rounds left he is 11 points ahead of the second place rider. The Sherco rider declares “I am very strongly motivated and I have very positive energy and believe that I will do well this year”. Loris is approaching the final rounds of the championship very optimistically and believes that he can win the Junior World Championship. The prominence of Sherco in the junior championship is very notable. In addition to the lead held by Gubian we should make note of the excellent results that have been obtained by the Italian rider Matteo Grattarola, who in spite of a shaky start of the season has earned podium positions in the last three rounds which were held in France, Italy and the Czech Republic. With these consistence results he has moved within 2 points of the bronze medal. With only three rounds left in the Championship the Italian is faced with a very intense situation. His goal is to move up two positions and earn that bronze medal.

  TRIAL
Cabestany in the middle of the season

Albert Cabestany took a little holiday time before confronting the second half of the season. He has a very tight calendar in the next few months; he will be competing in the last rounds of the outdoor world championship, the Trial of the Nations and the Spanish indoor and outdoor championships. Cabestany is always a favorite in all of the competitions and is without a doubt one of the riders with the most exquisite form. Lluís Gallach is his minder and point of reference in the most difficult sections

For Lluís "Albert really shines in the indoor trials where he can squeeze to the maximum his technical skills and precise control in order to conquer the obstacles. He does not relish the clay and the ruts that occurred in the outdoor Trial which was held in Japan this year. We train very hard 3 to 4 times per week in order to maintain the high level of skill required to compete at this level. Our goal is to place first in every event; however Raga and Bou have been very strong this year. After the last round of the Spanish Championship, Caby took a few days off to vacation in Madrid and enjoy the holidays. This is the first season that he has competed on the 4T that Paxau exquisitely prepared for him. The performance of this new motorcycle has been very good, even in very hot conditions which have happened this year. Albert is very comfortable with the team and hopes to end up with a good season on the Sherco 4T."

Cabestany can finish 4th in the world outdoor championship if he continues to ride well, he finished second in the world indoor championship in the debut of the Sherco 4T. Daniel Oliveras, in his second season with Sherco is currently in 10th place in the championship, he could mathematically reach 9th place which is where he finished last season.

After a slow start to the season, Alexandre Ferrer has become one of the strongest contenders in the “youth cup”; he won his first victory in the trial which was held in the Czech Republic. With this triumph the young Ferrer, who turned 18 in March, has moved within 3 points of second place in the championship, having risen to the podium in the last rounds he is proving to be one of the strongest riders in the category.

WEC GP FRANCE UZERCHE
Jérémy Joly among the top 5

The Sherco rider Jeremy Joly placed extremely well in the French Grand Prix Enduro which allowed the young Frenchman to move up to fifth place overall in the Junior World Enduro Championship. The race was held in the locality of Uzerche which became the center of attention for international off road racing. The riders had to travel a course that was 45 km long that did not contain extreme challenges with the exception of the suffocating heat, especially on the second day which thoroughly tested the endurance of both the riders and the machines. Joly had injured his hand in the previous round which was held in Wales; he broke one finger and sprained another one, because of this condition he decided not to participate in the special tests in order to rest his injured hand. In the first day of racing on the Sherco 2.5i he recovered from an early fall and the pain of his injury and he managed to finish the day in seventh place. In the second day he had a spectacular start and was in a position to podium, however two serious errors along with the pain in has hand in addition to the extreme heat caused him to fall back, he did finish in seventh place again. In spite of this placing he managed to move up to fifth place in the provisional standings.

Discover CrocoAventures
CrocoAventures :
Sherco will actively partner with CrocoAventures in competing in desert rallies. The Sherco R & D team will contribute valuable assistance in the further evolution of the Sherco motorcycle for this type of race. The partnership of Sherco and CrocoAventures will develop an excellent mechanical and innovative machine with which to confront the harsh and demanding rally races. CrocoAventures was the first team to utilize Sherco motorcycles; they chose them because they are equipped with fuel injection and catalytic converters. The fact that Sherco has evolved the product line to include a full compliment of models was also a strong consideration. They will take advantage of all three models, the 2.5i, 4.5i and 5.1i and plan to be ready to face a test as difficult and selective as the Dakar.

FEATURED NEW SHERCO IS COMMITTED
TO THE ENVIRONMENT

The Sherco Enduro models were pioneers in the application of electronic fuel injection in off-road motorcycles. The complete Enduro model line from 250 cc engines to 510 cc engines are all equipped with fuel injection and catalytic converters. This technological advantage allows them to participate in the Enduro sport with a significant reduction in both fuel consumption and emission pollution, the actual amount is around 20% less than the motors that are equipped with carburetors, regardless of weather conditions. The Sherco R & D team has tested the machines on the bench and in the highest levels of competition in order to reduce environmental impact and increase the pleasure of off-road riding.
