| SE 250i RACING NEW GENERATION |
| The 250cc and 300cc Shercos have always been deemed excellent by the press. The Se3.0i-R. The 2011 Sherco model was voted "best enduro bike" last year (all displacements combined) by a panel of French Enduro specialists. Yet, the Nîmes engineers have not fallen asleep on their laurels. The 2012 machines have received a lot of work, the chassis has been completely redesigned and the engine has been greatly revamped. |

| SEMI-PERIMETER FRAME |
Sherco frames are famous for their excellent adaptation to the practice of enduro racing in all conditions. There is a big revolution in 2012, the enduro models are receiving a totally new, semi-perimeter frame made from chrome molybdenum. This new design was chosen after extensive testing in the enduro environment and proven to provide excellent performance in this discipline. The shape and thickness of the various frame components varies depending upon the constraints and loads applied to them. This results in high lateral stiffness (for more precise handling, better control in the corners) without increasing the longitudinal stiffness (providing excellent comfort and a neutral feeling in all circumstances). This new configuration allows a clearer focus on the rest of the components, the swing arm, the exhaust and the fuel tank have been redesigned to enhance the total feeling of the bike. The 2012 Sherco becomes sharper and more accurate, while keeping the tracking and feel of the front end that has made its reputation.
With this new frame the components have been optimized by perfectly incorporating an 8-liter fuel tank (very useful in enduro racing and also in touring), and a larger air filter that allows more direct airflow into the engine intake. The routing of the wiring harnesses and the location of the fuel injection connectors (new and fully sealed) were very carefully thought out when designing the new frame. Sherco has leveraged its experience as a pioneer in the utilization of fuel injection on enduro motorcycles. Sherco has been producing enduro motorcycles equipped with fuel injection for
8 years. The 2012 Sherco is the result of a careful redesign which has produced an extremely compact machine with very natural ergonomics. The new frame provides a machine that is more manageable and provides increased riding pleasure, it is also incredibly effective in races where the rider is racing against the clock. |

| HIGH-END Equipement |
The new frame is not the only good news for 2012, the new bike is equipped with new suspension units both front and rear. The new WP rear shock absorber is enhanced with new control links for a more progressive feel. The front fork is a new 48 mm diameter WP model that was developed in conjunction with the Sherco factory. The new triple clamps are made by Neken and are fully machined. The suspension units are fully adjustable in order to accommodate various rider weights and riding styles. The front suspension units are light and very rigid and provide better accuracy and excellent front end control. The suspension system has been developed to work perfectly with the new frame, with the aim being to provide outstanding control on large impacts and very bumpy sections while maintaining a great level of comfort on small bumps, conditions that are often met in a modern enduro. In addition to WP, the renowned Brembo brand makes its appearance on the 2012 Sherco. This has led to an improvement in the feeling of the clutch and brake systems and provides gains in braking power and gives them a more progressive feel.
The body work is also new: lighter, more durable and more ergonomic. The finish is flawless and the rear fender has two lifting handles.... One more sign that Sherco is providing a very strong focus on the Enduro scene, Enduro bikes by Enduro riders! |

| A IN DEPTH REEXAMINATION OF THE ENGINE |
| In 2011 the 250cc and 300cc motors were hailed for their performances. The 2012 models have been further enhanced with a new cylinder head that improves the power at all speeds. The ignition mapping has been revised to compliment the engine updates, they have also received a new exhaust system that has been completely redesigned, it reduces the noise level of the engine at the same time causing the spent gasses to slow down allowing the engine to gain more power. It´s build quality is impeccable, it is TIG welded using stainless steel tubing. |
