ENDURO AND TRIAL INDOOR IN BARCELONA Share
The Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona was part of a wonderful afternoon of off-road racing. Two indoor events, Trials and Enduro, were held on same day in the same building

Albert Cabestany was again one of the stars of the 35th  Barcelona Indoor Trial. This trial does not count towards the World Championship but it is a legendary event and all of the best riders in the world were there to compete.

The Sherco rider showed in the qualification round that he was going to be very difficult to beat, however Toni Bou raised to the occasion and was able to finish in first place. Several other riders were able to race at a very high competitive level but Cabestany was able to hold all of them at bay with the exception of Bou.

With this result, the rider from Tarragonia finished in second place for the sixth time in this prestigious event. More than 10,000 spectators attended the Trial. Albert Cabestany departed Barcelona in great spirits.

In the Enduro, Fabien Planet raced one of his few indoor races, his lack of experience in  this type of race kept him from competing with the best riders, however over the final 3 laps he was consistently improving his position.

Joan Pons a well know trails racer, Joan won the 2003 SSDT, also signed up to compete with the elite in the Indoor Enduro. He unfortunately failed to qualify.
